“The Harrison Recreation Department is dedicated to creating quality passive and active recreational opportunities for all residents. We strive to promote a strong sense of community and citizen involvement while improving the social, cultural, and physical well-being of our participants”. Residents enjoy gyms, outdoor activities in community parks and on school fields including swimming, tennis, paddle tennis, softball, baseball, soccer, volleyball and hockey. Harrison also offers summer programs for pre-school and elementary school children in addition to its four-day camps.

Educational Facilities
The Harrison Central School District is a high achieving, fast growing school district with superior standards and even higher aspirations. It is composed of 4 elementary schools, a middle and a high school; an International Baccalaureate World School. Harrison is the home of the State University of New York (SUNY) and Manhattanville College. In 2008, Fordham University opened its “Westchester” campus in West Harrison.
